Foster Care

When she could no longer hide him, she took a papyrus basket for him, and coated it with tar and with pitch. She put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river's bank.

Exodus 2:3

Our Mission

Exodus 2:3 speaks of a time of true desperation for Moses's mother. A time where she could not find or obtain the resources necessary to provide a safe home for her child who would later go on to change the world for not only the Israelites but for generations to come. So she placed him in the river amongst the reeds. The river then carried baby Moses to Pharaoh's daughter who nurtured and took care of Moses alongside his birth mother so that he could grow up with the knowledge he needed to do all that God had for him.

At the Church of God Children's Home, our foster care program strives to be the river that brings children in need, to a home that is safe. We are dedicated social servants ready and willing to provide all necessary needs of our kids and our foster families such as training, prayer, assistance, and encouragement. We will work to be here for our families every step of the way.

What is Foster Care?

Foster Care is a temporary living arrangement for children who need a safe place to live when their parents or another relative cannot take care of them. The foster family and our staff work together to return children to their homes as quickly and as safely as possible – if parental rights are terminated, foster parents may be considered as adoptive parents.
